makeITfair publishes information on the use of metals in computers, mobile phones and cars
As a follow-up on the work of makeITfair on the mining of metals that are used in electronic products, the campaign now publishes comprehensive overviews of what metals are used, where they are mined and what controversies are known during the mining and processing of these raw materials. Overviews are given of the use of metals in computers, mobile phones and cars, as well as their recyclability rates. In addition, a background document is published, giving an overview of the origins of these metals, some basic information about their trade flows, and some of the known controversies surrounding these metals.
