"I want a fair and green phone" is an action directed at mobile network operators.

Millions of mobile phones are being sold in our country every year! But the production of these phones often doesn’t respect social and environmental standards. As the main retailers of mobile phones, network operators have to take some responsibility.

Customers like you want fair and green alternatives! But mobile network operators don’t offer or advertise these options yet. We believe that manufacturers should be pushed to develop better alternatives – and mobile network operators should advertise these options.

The most sustainable choice is for everyone to keep our phones for longer. That’s why mobile network operators should offer other benefits apart from new phones when we renew our contracts.

Help us to collect 10,000 signatures and hand them over to the network providers!

• Find out the facts about how and where mobile phones and other electronics products are made!
• Look out for makeITfair leaflets on different aspects of the electronics industry – and join in with the campaign activities!
• If you are buying a new mobile phone or electronic gadget, ask where it was produced and whether good social and environmental standards were followed!
• Before you decide to buy a new product, think whether you can make do with your old one for another year or two! If you can’t reuse your old one, take it to a recycling point or leave it in the shop.
