You want to start a fine shop in mobile phones, one with all the great gadgets, the newest of the newest. And yes, you want to be making good money too.

Nowadays more and more attention is given to the circumstances under which the production of goods takes place. Customers have started asking questions about child labour and how the environment is protected. You have to be ready for that! Maybe you have heard about child labour in Asian sweatshops, about people who are working unprotected with the poisonous stuff that bleaches your jeans in Asia or people who work overtime for very little pay. But did you ever make a connection between these kind of conditions and your mobile phone?

If you want to be prepared for critical questions, you’d better take a good look at the whole production chain in the mobile phone market. How do mobile phones get made, by whom, where does the production take place, what do your consumers want to have, et cetera.

In the end, honesty is the best policy, and that applies to salesmen and saleswomen too. So you have to be well informed to become successful with your new business!
